Goal, Specific objectives

Designing of a reliable, sound, transparent Ukrainian National JI Projects System

Specific objectives:

• Develop a legal and regulative framework for implementation of JI projects in Ukraine.
• Establish an efficient National JI Management infrastructure
• Develop a comprehensive set of guidelines consistent with international standards for the development and implementation of JI projects in Ukraine

Types of Activities

Analysis of international practices in the development of JI Projects System

Collection and analysis of information concerning responsibilities and capabilities of central and local authorities in the context of JI process

Analysis of existing legal and regulatory documents, which may support JI Management Infrastructure

Preparation of recommendations for the adjustment of existing legal and regulatory documents and development of additional ones to support an efficient JI Management Infrastructure.

Preparation of recommendations for sharing of tasks and functional responsibilities among main elements of the JI Management Infrastructure

Preparation of recommendations for the logistical and information support for a National JI Management Infrastructure

Assessment of barriers to the Ukraine’s participation in JI projects, preparation of recommendations for removal of such barriers

Preparation of recommendations for the JI project selection, evaluation, approval, registration procedures

Preparation of recommendations for the monitoring, certification and verification procedures

Analytical report on international experience in JI Projects System development and establishment

Recommendations on prerequisites for establishing an efficient Ukrainian National JI Management Infrastructure: adjustment of existing legal and regulatory documents and development of additional ones; definition of tasks and functional responsibilities of main elements of the JI Management Infrastructure

Recommendations on logistical and information support for the National JI Management Infrastructure

Recommendations on procedures of JI project selection, evaluation, approval, registration, monitoring, certification, verification and baselines estimation
