Upgrades to the lighting and heat supply system of Mariupol city hospital #2

Project goal

The goal of the project is to improve energy efficiency of lighting and heating system of Mariupol city hospital N2. To achieve this goal the following tasks should be fulfilled:

• improvement of the quality of heat supply services in city hospital #2;
• reduction of heat losses owing to temperature control inside the buildings;
• reduction of electricity consumption owing to use of energy efficient lamps;
• reduction of emissions.

Project participants

The main initiator of the project is the City council of Mariupol and the implementor - city hospital #2

Project measures

1. Replacement of the distribution heat networks at the territory of the hospital with the pre-insulated pipes.
2. Reconstruction of temperature control system in the buildings of the hospital:
• installation of automated heat flow controls at the inputs of the buildings with weather and time regulation;
• installation of the automated heat controls at the heat radiators.
3. Replacement of the incandescent lamps in the hospital premises by highly efficient lamps.
   
   

Project benefits

• provide comfortable temperature conditions in city hospital #2;
• reduce budgetary costs for paying lighting and heating bills of the hospital;
• use the saved costs for resolving other important problems.
  

Annual reduction of energy consumption

300 t c.e.

Annual reduction of GHG emissions

500 t of СО₂-equivalent.

Total project cost and required investments

Total project cost make $145 thousand (Hr 775.75 thousand), equity financing - $40 thousand (Hr 214 thousand), debt financing (investments) - $105 thousand (Hr 561.75 thousand).
