Wood Waste Utilization for Heating in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

General Information
Under the project, it is planned to install equipment to produce fuel briquettes from wood waste. The selected equipment will have capacity sufficient to produce a required amount of fuel briquettes to substitute 8,600 tonnes of coal per year used for heating communal buildings in the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast.

Objective
The project objective is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
due to switching to waste wood utilization for heating communal buildings
in the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast.
Technical Information
The equipment with the above total capacity may be commissioned by installing hydraulic presses having different unit production capacity. The specifications of these presses are given below:

Wood waste with high moisture content (40-60%) should be preliminarily dried to obtain a 8-15% moisture content required for pressing process. The complete supply of hydraulic press also includes a general-purpose sawdust cylinder drier. Its specifications are given below:

Estimated Cost
The Table below presents information on the total costs of equipment installation in six regions of the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. This equipment includes four fuel briquette-making lines with a capacity of 400 kg/h and two lines with a capacity 600 kg/h.
